New website now ONLINE PDF Print E-mail

We are pleased to announce the new DNGC Website is now live and online

The new website has a large number of features. These are summarised on the new welcome page and in more detail in a new User Guide. This is available via the Pubic folder in our Document Manager (on the members menu)

The new site represents the start of a new era for DNGC and will be the heart of the new Online Tee Reservation System and the ever increasing use of technology throughout the Club

All Users - Please use the DNGC Contact System forms for any suggestions, issues etc about the new website (Available via Contact / Submit Query)

Members - please use the website as the source of information regarding the Club and use the forms to feedback your response

NEW FEATURES

The principal new addition is that Members and Visitors can now BOOK TEE TIMES ONLINE using the buttons in the left panel which accesses our new tee time reservation system. Two manuals describing how to register and how to make a booking are in the Public Folder in Document Manager, which is accessed via the Members menu.  (Members will need to logon to access the times reserved for Members)

On the MAIN MENU (above) we have added a number of items including

A new improved VISITORS section which gives potential visitors all the information they need to decide to come and visit us. We hope that site visitors will enjoy this section and they do indeed decide to visit us at Dunblane New Golf Club.

In THE CLUB section have added a WHO'S WHO in the Club section to show pictures of The Board, Convenors and other full time employees. All other sections have been updated, including the home page gallery, overviews of the Club, its history and we have added sections on the Facilities, Function Suite and Catering . A Corporate section gives details of sponsorship opportunities and current packages.

The COURSE shows the course layout, card and multiple pictures of each hole. Sponsors are highlighted, and you can view the pictures easily.

The PRO SHOP gives information about The Professional and his shop next to the 1st Tee

MEMBERSHIP shows the different categories of membership available. We warmly welcome new members and encourage you to join our club.

The GALLERY displays all the pictures we have (of the course, people, events, etc) - as well as organised categories, anyone can submit pictures of anything for inclusion in the public gallery

In a new comprehensive MEMBERS area, we have added a lot of information previously in the Club Diary, including rules and regulations for competitions etc.

Additonally in Members, a new FIXTURE/EVENT  LIST shows all competitions, medals and social events in a comprehensive calendar format, with different views and filters - a very useful source of information

Also in Members, a DOCUMENTS section, managed by a fully featured Document Manager System, displays all information previously on noticeboards or circulated by expensive post. Members in particular are encouraged to use this, and will be advised when important documents are added (e.g AGM notice)

There is also a secure members area which requires a login to access any information restricted to members (see left).

CONTACT has all the information to contact people at the Club, as well as a link to the DNGC COntact Manager, which enables you to send queries, complaints , suggestions etc to various parts of the club.

Next (in the right Panel) we have added a dynamic NEWS section which will be updated by The Board and Conveners as often as they wish

We have also added current WEATHER and forecast section for 4 days ahead. This is automatically updated by an RSS feed every few minutes

In the left panel below the bookings section is the Members Login and General Registration. Registered users will be able to receive emails and other forms of communication from the Club. Members have access to all parts of the site. (See also latest news article )

Finally, number of People Online to the site at any moment is also shown. This gives all users an idea of how busy things are when they are online.

PREFERRED LIES PDF Print E-mail

PREFERRED LIES
Preferred Lies will come into operation
on
FRIDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2011

Temporary Local Rule
A ball lying on a closely-mown area through the green may be lifted without penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball, the player must mark its position. Having lifted the ball, he/she must place it on a spot within six inches of and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay, that is not in a hazard and not on a putting green.
A player may place his/her ball only once and it is in play when it has been placed (Rule 20-4). If the ball fails to come to rest on the spot on which it is placed, Rule 20-3d applies. If the ball when placed comes to rest on the spot on which it is placed and it subsequently moves, there is no penalty and the ball must be played as it lies, unless the provisions of any other Rule apply.

If the player fails to mark the position of the ball before lifting it or moves the ball in any other manner, such as rolling it with a club, he/she incurs a penalty of one stroke.

PENALTY FOR BREACH OF LOCAL RULE
Match Play – Loss of Hole
Stroke Play – Two Strokes

If a player incurs the general penalty for a breach of this Local Rule, no additional penalty under the Local Rule is applied.
