REMINDER - The Club would remind members of the importance of good hygiene practice in the efforts to contain COVID-19. We urge every member and staff member to follow the guidance from the NHS Inform website.

In particular we would urge every member to hand sanitise before entering and after leaving Club premises and to practice safe distance contact when on Club premises.
Remember – social golf playing can only be sustained at the Club if members act responsibly and practise the previously circulated guide points about touchpoints and safe distancing.
Please help us to help you remain safe.

Following the meeting of the Club Operational Group on 20.3.20 the following update and further response actions should be noted –
CLUBHOUSE
Members are asked to avoid sitting in large groups of more than 4 within the lounge area – tables and chairs will be split to facilitate this grouping. Members are asked not to join tables together.
COURSE
To further reduce the risk of cross contamination the Course Manager will make an adaption to the holes to lessen the depth of the hole and further reduce the need to touch the pin.

PLAYING
• as the frequency of guidance becomes even more detailed over the coming days and weeks members should not hesitate to email the Club Manager for clarification of matters relative to the safe playing of the course and suggestions as to how we can increase the protection for members – the Operational Group will consider these matters and respond within 24 hours
- in previous updates the potential of members submitting supplementary scores to maintain the currency of their handicaps was raised – this matter and the need for same (given that the bunkers have been removed from play and therefore rendering the round non-counting) has been referred to Scottish Golf – their response will be circulated when received.
- The Operational Group in an attempt to maintain competitive golf, as near as normal as possible for the month of April, have agreed the following –
- Entries to individual competitions will be by online registration only 10 days before the date at 2000 hours – e.g., in the case of a Saturday event Thursday at 2000 – competitions which would normally be booked 2 weeks in advance will continue with the 2-week facility
- Completed scorecards should be deposited in the box provided within the Professionals’ shop
- The Club Professional will be responsible for checking all scorecards with a score of 70 or less or in the case of a stableford 34 points or less, to determine the winner of the event
- Saturday competitions will remain as 3 player groupings
- The Club Professional will organise the ‘sweep’ for each event as appropriate
- These rules will apply across all membership categories – questions from members regarding any competition should be passed by email to the Club Manager for consideration by the Operational Group.
- Previous updates have referred to the development of a safe entry system being established regarding the Club ‘knockout’ competitions – this will be progressed and circulated by Monday 23.3.20.
